Giuseppe co-founded Index Ventures in 1996 and is a Partner. His investment focus currently includes ecommerce and online services, software and advanced communication components.

Giuseppe serves as a Director of several companies including Adconion, Imbera Electronics, Milestone Systems, Ozon.ru, Telegent Systems and VirtualLogix. He was involved with several prior investments, including Virata (acquired by Conexant, NASDAQ:CNXT), Ciao (acquired by  Microsoft, NASDAQ:MSFT), Numerical Technologies (acquired by Synopsys, NASDAQ: SNPS), and Digiquant (acquired by Intec, LSE:ITL.L).

Prior to founding Index Ventures, Giuseppe spent five years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company in several European offices. During his career at McKinsey, Giuseppe advised several major corporations on a number of strategic and organizational matters including European entry strategies, strategic positioning, marketing, and new product introductions.

Giuseppe holds a B.A. in Corporate Finance from Bocconi University in Milan and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Skype is a global P2P telephony company that is changing voice communications by moving voice calling to the Internet. Acquired by eBay in October 2005.
