At Index, we’ve been investing in AI for almost a decade, but more recently there has been a major shift as companies no longer need to develop their own models. It means that rather than having to compete for a small pool of expert data scientists, the power of AI is available to any software team through an API that connects to foundational models such as OpenAI or Cohere.
Before becoming an investor, Index partner Erin Price-Wright spent four years as Head of Product for Data Analytics and AI at Palantir Technologies and has invested in a number of AI companies including Weaviate, BRINC Drones and Arthur AI.
