The Opportunity:

As a Partner Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to fuel the growth of one of the most ambitious product domains at ApplyBoard. Your job will be to dramatically increase the sales of products on the e-commerce store ApplyShop by engaging and selling through recruitment agent partners and other new types of partners including test centers, schools and tutors/coaches.

Your primary role will be to engage with customers in new and creative ways in order to drive the sales of new products and services offered on ApplyShop. You will use your passion for sales and customer engagement to put experiments into action and help to quickly determine successful tactics for growth.

What you will be doing everyday:

  • Assist in defining strategies and tactics to explosively grow the partner sales channel from the ground up on new and existing offerings
  • Take action on new sales experiments given to you by your manager, with activities including:
  • Manage telesales and pitch our product offerings to customers
  • Attend frequent meetings with distribution partners
  • Attend conferences and meet the Recruitment Partners (Agents)
  • Coordinating and scheduling unique learning and exhibition events for suppliers and partners
  • Report on success or lack of success of a given tactic with a high degree of detail and analysis
  • Drive monthly/ quarterly sales targets for multiple products on ApplyShop
  • Prospect new customers and conduct regular meetings in pursuit of closing accounts
  • Collaborate with other sales team members to a high degree
  • Help identify critical structural changes in the market
  • Identify new competitors and understand changing customer prospects

What you bring to the table:

  • MBA or quantitative-focused undergrad program from a reputed college with 1-3 years of work Experience
  • Preferred: experience or comfort with sales reporting tools and CRMs
  • Fluency/comfort with technology and learning about new tools
  • Ability to manage and understand Sales analytical data
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong abstract thinking & problem-solving skills; it is critical that you can break down problems and solve them without supervision
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
  • Strong self-management, able to work independently
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to react to changing priorities.
