We’re hiring highly skilled technicians with great attention to detail who are experts at problem-solving and assembling simple and complex hardware systems in a manufacturing production environment. Candidates must have a deep passion for Trucks, cars, and future technologies.
In this role, you will
- Work as a Hardware Technician on Aurora’s Manufacturing Team, building self-driving vehicles
- Includes vehicle build, sub-assembly, integrated modules, and harness assembly.
- Follow manufacturing documentation standards.
- Work in Aurora’s Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS).
- Follow safety standards and meet internal deadlines.
- Work with limited oversight.
- Seek continuing education and development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- We extend a warm welcome to candidates possessing 0 to 2 years of experience, ranging from recent graduates who exhibit a strong desire to learn to seasoned professionals who are prepared to make a significant impact.
- 0-2 years for entry-level technicians, Technical trade school, or other educational equivalent.
- Knowledge of ISO-9001 or standardized process environments.
- Experience with Jira, ERP, PLM, CAD, and various other software tools
- Excellent communication skills and documentation practices.
- Strong electrical skills, ability to read wiring schematics and layouts, and assemble wiring harnesses
- Basic proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- A can-do customer service attitude with the ability to multitask under pressure in a production environment
- Ability to problem-solve, analyze, and isolate problems
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects. Use hands and fingers to grasp, move, and assemble objects, as well as very small objects.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, carry materials, bend at the waist, reach, and kneel for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs at least 20 - 25 feet.
- Maximum unassisted lift of 50 pounds. Normal lift of 20 pounds or less.
- Pull or push wheeled equipment to build locations.
- Exposed to moving parts and tooling such as impact tools, Drills, and cutting equipment.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) daily.
Desirable Qualifications
- IPC training and certification, or equivalent experience
- Production workshop experience
- 2 to 7 years of direct experience in automotive, trucking, development, or production spaces
- Deep knowledge of automotive and trucking systems, tooling, and mechanical assemblies
The hourly wage range for this position is $29.50 - $38.50 per hour. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
