About BlaBlaCar BlaBlaCar is the world’s leading community-based travel app enabling 27 million members a year to carpool or travel by bus in 21 countries. Our team of 800 employees counts over 50 nationalities and is spread across our 5 global offices, 30% working fully remotely. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Data Reconciliation Intern to join our Finance team in Brazil. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our Bus marketplace data by reconciling internal financial information with data provided by our bus partners. This position will give you a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, operations, and data, in a dynamic, fast-growing international environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform data reconciliation between internal systems and partner data (revenues, commissions, payments, etc.)
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between internal records and partner reports
- Collaborate with bus partners to clarify and correct data or payment issues
- Support the Finance team in ensuring that all financial flows related to the Bus marketplace are accurate and complete
- Work closely with Business Operations and Data teams to analyze mismatches, identify root causes, and propose process improvements
- Assist in the monthly closing process by providing accurate reconciled data and supporting documentation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reconciliation tools and reporting dashboards
Profile & Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Good understanding of financial principles (revenue recognition, reconciliation, cash vs. accrual concepts)
- Excellent Excel / Google Sheets skills (knowledge of formulas, pivot tables; SQL is a plus)
- Comfortable working with large data sets and collaborating with technical teams (Data / Tech)
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with both internal teams and external partners
- Team player, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in Portuguese and English required.
