Named Account Managers play a key role in driving Confluent’s sales activities within strategic accounts. In this role you will strategically work with the companies highest spending accounts to grow the relationship and spend. Working with senior level executives to align business problems to Confluents product offering. This role includes activities developing and executing on the go-to-market strategy for your territory. The ideal candidate needs to have experience selling complex Database, Messaging, Big Data, Open Source and/or SaaS into large corporate and multi national companies.

What you will do:

  • Build awareness for Kafka and the Confluent Platform within large enterprise
  • Aggressively grow Confluent footprint and product usage.
  • Close business to exceed quarterly and annual booking objectives
  • Identify, qualify and develop sales pipeline
  • Build strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities
  • Serve as primary POC for assigned customers in securing renewal - including activities from quotation to close.
  • Coordinate the engagement of other Confluent resources (e.g. Customer Operations, Customer Success, Sales, etc.) to ensure ongoing customer success.
  • Maintain relationships with key users and decision makers at assigned customers, keeping them connected to value being added by our products.

What we are looking for:

  • An ability to articulate and sell the business value of big data and the impact on businesses of all sizes
  • Deep experience selling within the Database, Open Source, Messaging or Big Data space
  • 8+ years experience selling enterprise technology in a fast-paced and competitive market Experience selling to developers and C level executives
  • Highly motivated, over achiever, team player
  • Strong analytical and writing abilities
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit/mindset, flexibility toward dynamic change
  • Goal oriented, with a track record of overachievement (President’s Club, Rep of the Year, etc.)
  • A massive plus is experience selling to Financial Services accounts
