Summary

The Payments Ops & Risk is searching for an experienced Chargebacks & Disputes professional to help us investigate and manage payment chargebacks and fraud mitigation, while helping build the product requirements to automate this experience for sellers across the globe. This will be a high-impact role ensuring our buyers and sellers maintain trust in our Checkout solution, while also protecting Fast and its seller’s from outsized losses. Role

  • Build and lead a team of Chargebacks Specialists
  • Establish, track and exceed key KPIs for disputes management at Fast
  • Manage weekly reporting cycle and disputes quarterly planning cycle, while ensuring new features and enhancements are built into the seller dashboard product at Fast
  • Manage the overall dispute workflow and partner with Fast’s Customer Success team to streamline key inputs from sellers to aid our representment packages
  • Identify and document optimization opportunities to improve our end to end business/information flow with respect to handling (and eliminating) disputes
  • Devise new strategies to improve win rates for Fast’s sellers while also analyzing trends and identifying ways to reduce overall chargeback rates on the platform
  • Document core repeatable, scalable processes to help the team grow efficiently as we expand our Risk Ops teams
  • Investigate and strategize around enhancements to our risk models based upon emerging fraud trends identified through the disputes process in a timely manner
  • Support with general risk processes across the team as needed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of chargebacks and disputes experience
  • Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong investigative/research skills, with attention to detail
  • SME in understanding dispute management programs, chargeback reason codes, and strategies to respond to disputes/inquiry cases
  • A team-first approach with a positive attitude
  • Resourceful and ready to roll their sleeves up - no task or issue is too big or small
  • Demonstrates care and empathy towards customers and teammates
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Plus

  • Demonstrated proficiency with SQL
  • MBA, MS or other advanced degree
  • Experience with global payment processors such as Adyen, Stripe, Cybersource, etc
