MOO's diverse manufacturing team is composed of quality and process engineers, prepress specialists, manufacturing leads, technology engineers, and supply chain specialists. We span two geographies (US and UK) and are responsible for the delivery of premium print and hard good products to our customers. We’re looking for a Manufacturing Scheduler to join our team. Here at MOO, we’re looking for an individual who will operate cross functionally creating a manufacturing plan for the day to day operations of our MOO manufacturing plants. This is an exciting opportunity in our East Providence, Rhode Island facility. We’re looking for an energetic planner who is comfortable working independently and collaboratively across functions so we can meet our customer demand. The successful candidate will report to the Scheduling and Planning Manager and will interact with leads/supervisors in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Forecast / Planning
- Schedule / planning, near term (~0-3 months). Includes machinery utilization/optimization, headcount requirements, staffing configuration and detailed requirements for output rates by station / shift / site -daily. Plans must account for all demand streams. Plans should include product prioritization, press and product relationship, and a comprehensive plan press and post press operations can follow to maintain balanced load and minimize impact on binning.
- Manages production scheduling (including material) and planning (near term), driving improved Manufacturing and customer SLA, production reliability, as well as cost efficiency. Identifies and implements improvements as necessary
- Drives daily facility planning with manufacturing leadership
- Work closely with all manufacturing lanes to ensure material and labor is scheduled appropriately to ensure KPI’s are met. To include management of product codes/SKUs for unique orders
- Data
- Manages and reports out the accuracy of data that supports manufacturing, to include SKU data and rates
- Maintain updates and maintenance on all production flows
- Monitor current production trends and give guidance to manufacturing
- Continuously looks for improvements with our scheduling process and coordination on the floor
- Operations
- Provide manufacturing team guidance and support for new technology implementation
- Participate in the design and development of associated training programs and ensure adoption by personnel
- Schedules/adheres to key performance indicators (KPI’s) in conjunction with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality and Engineering and communicates desired results to the team
- Drive and deliver assigned metrics
- Occasional work in direct process path
- Comfortable with analytical software i.e. Tableau, Power BI
About You
- The person we appoint to this role will be enthusiastic, imaginative, optimistic and keen to work as part of a team
- Production planning experience that would include machine, labor and material planning from various sale channels
- Ability to effectively plan, organize, and execute tasks
- Experience with day to day production planning and data entry
- Software skills: Excel, Google Sheets or similar software; advanced knowledge
- MES systems
- Production management familiarity with value stream maps and lean manufacturing
- Awareness of factory flow, touch points and process improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Solid problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Good people, organizational, and analytical skills
