About the role
Our Payments team provides first-class support to enable our customers to transfer 50M+ transactions effortlessly every month. We are also internal customer-champions, working with product teams to ensure users stay at the forefront of everything Revolut does.
We’re looking for a Payments Subject Matter Expert with solid experience in local payments operations. The role is crucial for ensuring efficient and secure payment operations, maintaining compliance, and managing relationships with key payment systems in the country. A brave individual who knows how to manage risks and make independent decisions.

What you’ll be doing
- Establishing and maintaining a strong working relationship with local payments systems, acting as the point of contact on behalf of Revolut branch
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations, guidelines, and procedures set by the regulatory bodies
- Conducting payment operations and working with local payments systems
- Overseeing the end-to-end payment processes, including transaction initiation, verification, reconciliation, and settlement through local and international payment systems
- Collaborating with internal IT teams to address any technical issues related to payment systems
- Ensuring smooth operations and efficient communication between the bank and the parties involved in the payment systems
- Generating regular reports on payment activities, volumes, and performance metrics to support decision-making processes within the bank and in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Monitoring and mitigating payment-related risks, such as fraud, errors, and operational disruptions, by suggesting appropriate control measures and conducting periodic risk assessments
- Providing support to internal departments regarding payment processes, compliance requirements, and changes in local payment systems rules and regulations
- Facilitating effective communication between the bank and key stakeholders in the payment service providers regarding any operational, technical, or regulatory matters, as well as participating in relevant industry forums and working groups
- Staying updated with the latest trends, regulations, and innovations in the payment industry, continually enhancing professional knowledge and skills
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in payments
- User certifications/trainings for operations in the local payment systems
- In-depth knowledge of local payments relevant legislations
- Fluency in English
- Exceptional communication and writing skills (grammar, brand tone, and voice)
Nice to have
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance
- SQL skills
