About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. This role will primarily focus on managing the financial operations of our Netherlands entity, while also providing support for our US operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working across teams and countries.

This is a 24 to 32-hour-per-week role that requires afternoon or evening availability to effectively collaborate with our US-based CFO and corporate leadership team.

What You’ll Do

Netherlands (Primary Focus):

• Handle all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Manage VAT filings and compliance
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash management
• Work with our external tax accountant to ensure timely collection and remittance of VAT.
• Independently close the monthly and annual books
  

United States (Support Role):

• Assist our CFO with AP and AR processes
• Perform general administrative and finance-related tasks (no closing responsibility)
  

Additional Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts
• Collaborate with the Sales team to support and manage the dunning (collections) process
• Work closely with the Technology team to support Business Intelligence (BI) requirements related to finance and reporting
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or financial administrator, preferably with exposure to both NL and US accounting
• Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP and VAT regulations
• Ability to independently manage and close the books for a Dutch entity
• Skilled in cash flow forecasting and financial planning
• Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with sales, tech, and management teams
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Exact, Zenvoices, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
• Must be computer savvy and open to working with new AI tools and technologies
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
• Flexible availability in the afternoons or evenings to align with US time zones
