As a confirmed‐level Product Designer at Spendesk, you will: Join a close‐knit design team of eight, where collaboration, culture, and in‐office moments are celebrated. Take end‐to‐end ownership of strategic product initiatives—from discovery and ideation through delivery and continuous iteration. Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to shape roadmaps, prioritize trade‐offs, and ensure we ship experiences that drive measurable impact. Navigate complex financial workflows and translate them into simple, delightful interactions across our web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design for key product areas. Drive the vision, user flows, wireframes, high‐fidelity mocks, and interactive prototypes.
- Drive discovery & research. Plan and conduct user interviews, usability tests, and data deep‐dives; synthesize insights into actionable direction.
- Evolve our design system. Contribute net‐new, scalable components and establish patterns that raise accessibility and consistency standards.
- Facilitate collaboration. Run workshops and design reviews that bring PMs, Engineers, and stakeholders into the process, ensuring alignment and shared ownership.
- Measure & iterate. Define success metrics, partner with Data to track impact, and refine designs post‐launch.
- Stay curious & scout trends. Continuously observe design, technology, and cultural shifts, sharing insights to inspire product innovation.
What we're looking for
- 3–5 years of product/UX design experience (preferably in SaaS or B2B environments) with a track record of shipping end‐to‐end features.
- A portfolio showcasing strategic thinking, polished interaction & visual design, and measurable business/user impact.
- Mastery of Figma and modern prototyping tools (e.g., Framer, Principle).
- Deep fluency in design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive web/mobile patterns.
- Ability to plan and conduct user research, synthesize data, and advocate for evidence‐based decisions.
- Excellent communication skills—you can articulate design rationale and influence stakeholders in English (written & verbal).
- Collaborative, proactive mindset with low ego and passion for feedback.
- Unrelenting curiosity about technology, culture, and emerging trends—proactively translating insights into innovative product ideas.
Nice to have
- Passion for integrating AI‐powered tools (e.g., Figma AI, Cursor, Lovable, v0) throughout the design process to accelerate discovery and elevate creativity.
- Demonstrated skill in crafting nuanced interaction details and designing with emotional resonance to elevate user delight.
- Experience in fintech or payments domains.
Growth & development
- Shape a product used by thousands of finance teams across Europe.
- Clear path to Senior Product Designer and beyond, with dedicated mentorship and progression framework.
- Annual learning budget (€600) and access to top design conferences & courses.
