Agent Engineering Team Lead

Description
- Lead and mentor a team of Agent Engineers delivering production-ready AI agents for enterprise clients.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for a set of customer accounts, ensuring agents are scoped, implemented, tested, launched, and maintained successfully.
- Drive the development of AI agents that integrate with external APIs, tools, and customer systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally:
- With Customer Success to align agents with client workflows and requirements.
- With Product and Engineering to improve features, tooling, and internal processes.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, tested agents, including simulations and QA for smooth launches.
- Establish and enforce team routines: sprint planning, prioritization, code & prompt reviews, knowledge sharing, and post-mortems.
- Monitor and analyze agent performance in production, leveraging tools like Datadog, Snowflake, and BI systems.
- Create a strong culture of ownership, independence, and urgency, while fostering growth and accountability within the team.
- Stay up to date on advancements in AI agent technology (LLMs, RAG, orchestration frameworks, etc.) and bring those learnings into practice.
Requirements
- +3 years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership/management role.
- Strong programming skills - TypeScript preferred, but solid experience in modern programming is also considered.
- Proven experience working with REST APIs.
- Experience with monitoring & analytics tools (e.g., Datadog, Snowflake, BI systems) - strong advantage.
- Familiarity with modern AI/LLM tooling and production ecosystems (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI, Hugging Face) - strong advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and proven cross-functional collaboration with Product, Customer Success, and Engineering teams.
- Track record of managing projects end to end - including planning, prioritization, execution, delivery, and ongoing ownership.
