André joined Index in 2006 as General Counsel. He has over 20 years of experience advising entrepreneurs and investors throughout Europe and in the US on legal matters arising during all stages of a company's lifecycle. At Index, André assists the investment team on the negotiation and execution of investments, divestments and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Index, André started his legal career with Warner Cranston (now part of Reed Smith) in London, followed by his tenure within the transatlantic operations of Brobeck Hale and Dorr (now part of WilmerHale), where he focused on tech investments and mergers and acquisitions.
André is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales. He received a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from University College London and subsequently completed his legal training at the College of Law in London.
