What You Will Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers and database administrators, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, development, maintenance, and migration of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Your role will involve close collaboration with engineers, product teams, analytics group, and stakeholders. This collaboration is essential to ensure data availability for analytics, machine learning, and reporting purposes.
- You will be responsible for defining and implementing robust data architecture strategies. This includes data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery), data lakes, and real-time streaming pipelines.
- Integrate and manage data from various analytics platforms, including Google Analytics 4 (GA4), to support comprehensive reporting and insights.
- Collaborate closely with the analytics team to enable self-service Business Intelligence through tools like Looker.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to ensure smooth deployment and reporting of A/B tests.
Who You Are
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, AWS preferably, and big data technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL for designing, querying, and optimizing Relational databases, with a strong ability to write complex queries and manage large datasets efficiently.
- Proven ability to lead and grow teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong experience with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, BigQuery, and data lake architectures.
- Moderate proficiency with Python, Spark, and similar scripting languages.
- Experience with orchestration frameworks such as Apache Airflow, Dagster, or similar
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
