Partnerships Manager Italy

This position is based in Milan and reports to the Country Manager Italy.

Adyen is looking for a commercially focused individual with a strong technical background to develop and manage POS and eCommerce partnerships that are instrumental to bringing new customers to Adyen.

This role is primarily focused to build & maintain partnerships with leading third party platforms, Systems Integrators and Consulting companies that enable Adyen’s merchants to have access to our payments capabilities both eCommerce and in-store. Adyen has partnerships with a variety of third parties that are important partners to Adyen's customers and prospects. Examples of these partners are:

  • Systems Integrators: Reply, Accenture, H-Farm, Cap Gemini, Venistar
  • Platforms: Cegid, Oracle, Sales Force, Magento

What you'll do

  • Establish strong commercial partnerships with third party solutions with the goal of boarding a large number of their customers on the Adyen platform.
  • Work with teams including Sales, Legal, Marketing, Tech to launch and manage partnership programs
  • Keeping our partners updated with the latest features of the Adyen solution.
  • Developing a marketing plan with the marketing team in order to nurture these relationships.
  • Liaise with the technical team in Amsterdam in order to educate partners.
  • Define Adyen’s attendance to external events organised by these partners in order to increase intimacy and pitch Adyen’s solution to their clients.
  • Manage partnerships to review success factors and hold periodic meetings to discuss sales & marketing strategies, lead-gen, technical feasibility and new products / features.
  • Scope, define, implement, and operationalize partnership engagements.
  • Establish, negotiate, and execute long term partner agreements.

Who you are

  • A natural-born networker with high energy, you are a self-starter with a commercial edge and strong negotiation skills;
  • A strategic thinker with excellent people, project and time management skills;
  • A strong communicator and team player with strong technical knowledge and understanding;
  • You ideally have 2-3 years of professional experience, including experience in a Partnerships, complex enterprise software, technical infrastructure or financial services (specifically payments) role. Experience from the payments industry is a definite plus;
  • Completely fluent in Italian and English;
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
