Global Head of Strategic Growth
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated dealmaker and people leader to lead our Strategic Growth team, currently consisting of a dozen people based in Amsterdam, New York and San Francisco. The Strategic Growth team is here to further accelerate Adyen’s growth by partnering up with other teams and commercially executing our most strategic projects and deals. A large chunk of the work includes collaborating with the account management organization and increasing the share-of-wallet of existing merchants globally by scoping, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals.
As a Global Head of Strategic Growth you will be responsible for setting the direction of the team and aligning that with the rest of the organization. On the one hand you are a seasoned expert in enterprise dealmaking, and on the other hand comfortable in streamlining team operations, encouraging effective collaboration, and driving results. You will mentor, and coach a team of strategic growth managers globally, and as a critical role in our continued growth, you will help to iterate our culture and build an amazing team environment that will create future leaders for Adyen.
What you’ll do
● Lead by example by creatively closing strategic deals with your team
● Drive direction of the team and aligning internally with stakeholders to set the team up for maximum impact
● Leadership: Manage a 10+ person global team, including manager of managers; create a culture of collaboration, career growth coaching and guidance, and team and individual goal setting & achievement
● Collaboration with the Team Lead(s) on developing the Strategic Growth global strategy
● Expand the positioning of Strategic Growth within the Account Management and wider Adyen organization
Who you are
● 7+ years experience in managing and scaling commercial teams, from which 3+ years leading team leads; experience in creating and executing on a commercial vision
● 10+ years experience in commercial roles, able to pitch, negotiate, and close deals with enterprise customers
● Experience in building and managing relationships with external senior business leaders to drive revenue results
● Comfortable and self-sufficient operating within a complex global environment.

This role can be based out of our San Francisco or New York City offices. We have a hybrid workplace and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles for people
managers. The base salary range for this role is $235,000-$300,000 + Equity.
