The role of an Insurance Expert at Alan is to:

• Design and price insurance offers,

• Monitor the business and the risks,

• Help the rest of the team understand the subtleties of healthcare and insurance.

You may be a great fit for the role if:

• You have 5+ years of experience in the insurance sector, with meaningful exposure to health insurance products (hospitalisation, group insurance, disability or dental)

• You are fluent in English and French/Dutch

• You combine a scientific background (actuarial sciences, statistics, mathematics or data science) with practical experience in insurance (product, pricing, regulatory or analytics)

• You have strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data, business and legal questions into actionable outputs

• You have a builder mindset: you continuously identify opportunities to improve and scale processes and systems

• You are willing to deeply change the insurance and healthcare industry and challenge the status quo

• You communicate in a clear, structured and to-the-point way (written and spoken)

⚠️ Note: we are not looking for risk/finance actuaries focused on Solvency 2, IFRS 17, ALM or asset management expertise.

For this role, we are looking to hire within the D-F level range.
