About your role

(This role can be full remote)

You will work closely with our exec team to increase Ankorstore’s brand awareness with brands & retailers across Europe and amplify the stories of our community. You will be reporting to our co-founder in charge of sales & brand. In particular, you will:

  • Develop and lead our overall communications strategy: identify topics where you believe Ankorstore should position itself and develop a smart point of view on these topics
  • Create great content for PR & to inspire our community
  • Build strong PR relationships across the corporate and trade parution focusing on our main markets in Europe (FR, DACH, UK, BENELUX )
  • Design and implement an event strategy
  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders in the wholesale industry (in coordination with each country managers)
  • Find the right speaking opportunities to maximize our spokespeople visibility, ensuring a consistent and impactful message is communicated
  • Build and implement an inspiring social media presence across our core geographies
  • Have a clear brand positioning, working closely with our designer and product team to make sure our designs communicate
  • Success in this role means you have positioned Ankorstore as the leader in the European digital wholesale industry and a retail thought leader.

Preferred experience

The experience we require:

  • At least 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Having already positioned a brand as a leading thought leader in its industry
  • Strong project and agency management experience

The 4 most important qualities to succeed in this role:

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
  • Your are ROI-focused, with a strong sense of leveraging communication to impact core business metrics (awareness, traffic, leads)
  • You are a creative storyteller. We are here to reinvent an industry !
  • You have a proven ability to manage a team/ external agencies

Other qualities that would add value:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in German, Spanish or Dutch is a plus
  • Experience in B2B and/ or retail
  • Experience in leading communication strategies across Europe
  • You have strong instincts allowing you understand your audiences quickly
