The Role

We’re looking for a multi-disciplinary, entrepreneurial, and strategic marketer to join ApplyBoard as our Marketing Manager, ApplyProof. ApplyProof is a standalone platform, created by ApplyBoard. It is a trust solution that transforms the way official documents are accessed and verified. Immigration officials, admissions officers and other stakeholders can access the up-to-date digital original on ApplyProof in a matter of seconds.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for owning all elements of the marketing mix from strategy to execution, focused on building brand awareness and driving adoption and usage of the ApplyProof Platform.

The Opportunity

Supporting the ApplyProof team, you will help grow ApplyProof, its brand, and position it in the ecosystem. You have the chance to grow with the ApplyProof Team and experience a start-up culture. Your work will positively impact the international student journey.


  • Lead the development and execution of ApplyProof marketing strategy including the development of marketing objectives, goals, strategy, and execution plans
  • Develop a variety of traditional and digital marketing assets to promote ApplyProof, at various stages of engagement, to target audience members
  • Planning, create and distribute highly personalized and targeted email marketing communications to support various initiatives as directed by the ApplyProof Team
  • Develop and maintain ApplyProof’s marketing calendar, outlining key programs, initiatives, communications and events
  • Working alongside the larger cross-discipline Marketing Team, manage timelines, monitor progress, and ensure on-time deliverables for all ApplyProof projects
  • Working in collaboration with the Communication Team, plan and execute large scale media campaigns including writing and issuing press releases, media outreach, interviews, speaking engagements, etc.
  • Manage ApplyProof’s editorial/blogging calendar, develop compelling content to be posted on the ApplyProof blog and support ApplyProof leadership through ghost-writing and other thought leadership programs
  • Work develop and launch the ApplyProof webinar initiatives
  • Coordinate the creation of videos (student support and partner-focused marketing videos) as needed to drive ApplyProof engagement/usage
  • In collaboration with the Social Media Team, develop a dedicated social media strategy for ApplyProof, monitor execution, report on results, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Manage ApplyProof’s annual event calendar including researching events, making recommendations for participation, event planning, budgeting, communications, execution, and reporting
  • Take ownership of the ApplyProof website including updating content, making site improvements, and monitoring performance
  • Other tasks as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience in a fast-paced environment, tech industry experience highly preferred
  • A college diploma or university degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
  • Extensive experience developing multi-channel creative campaigns that yield results
  • Demonstrated experience planning, implementing, and executing prospecting and promotional marketing programs
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships with Management, Leadership, and Executives
  • Demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills resulting in the ability to hit aggressive deadlines
  • Power-user of HubSpot and experiencing using WordPress
  • A highly analytical approach to reporting and analyzing performance metrics with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization
  • Demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills resulting in the ability to hit aggressive deadlines

  • Fluency in English and French (verbal and written) considered an asset
