We’re looking for a strategic product manager to join ApplyBoard’s Growth Marketing team. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between the product strategy and the tactics required to ensure product stickiness. You will be the product evangelist and will play a key role in new feature and product launches.

Responsibilities :

  • Be the expert on our customers, who they are, how they engage with our platform, what are key features, etc.
  • Collaborate with the product team, CX team, growth marketing managers and other marketing teams to develop clear product positioning and messaging that resonate with our audience personas.
  • Work closely with the CX team to understand and document our customers processes, including how they use the platform and obstacles to conversion to better equip our sales and marketing teams.
  • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
  • Develop a marketing plan in conjunction with other marketing teams to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs on an ongoing basis, and report back to stakeholders required changes.
  • Plan the launches of new features, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Understand and support our sales channels; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


  • 3+ years of product marketing experience in fast-paced environment, preferable at a high-growth technology company
  • College degree or university diploma in marketing, business administration, or other related discipline
  • Experience developing go-to market strategies and multi-channel integrated campaigns
  • Highly analytical approach to reporting and analyzing performance metrics with a focus on continuous optimization
  • Ability to work with international peers collaboratively across time zones
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Mandarin or Vietnamese an asset
  • Good knowledge of Asian social media platforms an asset
  • A positive, can-do attitude

Bonus points

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with Airtable, Confluence, or other project management tools
  • Experience with working with Asia, a plus.
  • Knowledge of the international education market
