About the role

The product we build is truly changing the way companies find and hire talent, and our role in the PMO is to make sure that projects that enable it run as smoothly as possible, that we get the maximum value from them and that everyone is clearly informed on progress and any potential blockers. The PMO is a newly formed function that will operate across the breadth and depth of Beamery. We’re looking for a PMO Manager who will support the roll out of the new PMO across the business and lead the day to day operations of the PMO. The PMO Manager will work closely with the Head of PMO to establish new ways of working across the full project lifecycle at Beamery. The PMO Manager will therefore be required to have both excellent PMO operations credentials as well as experience of rolling out new PMOs and the change management and communication skills to support this.

As our PMO function and capability grows,  the PMO Manager will transition to take on day to day responsibility for the constant drum beat of the PMO team, including managing project reporting and data, the governance framework and leading the PMO Centre of Excellence.

What you will be doing at beamery

  • Support the Head of PMO in the design and implementation of a Beamery Project Management Framework (and all related processes and templates) to ensure we get maximum value out of our projects.
  • Support the design and implementation of a communication and change management plan for the roll out.
  • Establish a PMO Centre of Excellence to better enable our PMs to deliver across the business.
  • As the PMO matures, support the procurement, roll out and integration of of a PPM tool
  • Manage the PMO reporting cycle ensuring quality reviews of all project information and use strong analytical skills to interpret and present the information and data.
  • Manage the PMO’s project management framework from concept to closure across Beamery including, but not limited to, governance, planning, risk and issue management and budget management
  • Constantly look for ways to improve and mature the PMO’s operations
  • Build excellent working relationships across the business
  • Lead, develop and motivate a PMO Analyst.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to PMs
  • Support cross-functional project comms and dependencies
  • Provide practical support and guidance to projects, when needed, e.g. facilitating a kick off meeting or coaching a PM facing challenges, recognising when issues need to be escalated.

  • Excellent PMO credentials
  • Experience rolling out new PMOs and implementing PPM tooling
  • Superb communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks calmly under pressure and prioritise effectively
  • Able to manage large volumes of data and clearly articulate the important messages within it
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and use it to help inform new ideas
