Job summary

We are looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial, and detail-oriented team member inspired by our mission to bring better health and wellness to older adults. As the Inventory Planner you’ll work closely with the Director of Planning, as well as Merchandising, Operations and Finance teams to forecast inventory needs, build out subscription sales models, determine product assortment and help launch new lines as the company continues to expand. This role reports to the Director of Inventory Planning and can be based out of either the San Francisco Bay area or Salt Lake City, Utah.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and iterate on subscription sales forecasting models
  • Create and maintain item level forecasts and inventory targets
  • Work closely with the Director of Planning and Head of Finance to create quarterly and annual category level financial forecasts
  • Manage cash flow/purchasing for specific brands/categories
  • Write, send and track POs
  • Work closely with merchandising team on new product launches and optimizing the product assortment
  • Communicate forecasts with external vendors
  • Track inbound shipments from vendors
  • Work with Operations Manager and warehouse team to facilitate smooth inbound transactions
  • Aid in new software launches as we grow
  • Hindsight previous season forecasts and purchasing
  • Work with merchandising and CRM teams on email strategy
  • Run daily, weekly and monthly reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years inventory planning experience, ideally within ecommerce
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel and modeling skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Desire to “get in the weeds” to analyze sales and inventory
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively from home (computer set-up will be provided)
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive. You roll up your sleeves and do what’s necessary to drive initiatives to completion
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of SQL and Netsuite a plus
