We are looking for a passionate, driven, and experienced compliance professional to join our growing compliance team.  As a Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for day-to-day operational KYC/AML processes and leverage your knowledge to analyze emerging risks and potential compliance issues.  You will evaluate processes and controls to identify and assess risk, controls, efficiency, and compliance opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct blockchain-based transaction monitoring and investigations using blockchain monitoring tools to monitor and detect possible money laundering, terrorism financing, corruption and other suspicious activity; create and file suspicious activity reports with appropriate regulatory agencies
  • Conduct customer due diligence; work with customers and account managers to understand the customer’s business, assess the customer’s AML risk, gather documentation, and produce timely reporting
  • Conduct investigations, including creating internal reports and recommendations as necessary
  • Contribute to procedural enhancements pertaining to onboarding, monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting
  • Prepare data-driven internal management reports
  • Assist with licensing activities, law enforcement requests, bank inquiries, and regulatory audits/examinations as needed
  • Assist the Chief Compliance Officer with projects and tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in operational risk, compliance, KYC/AML, transaction monitoring for a cryptocurrency financial services company
  • Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about blockchain technology; familiar with regulatory environment relevant to cryptocurrency
  • Experience using Chainalysis or similar blockchain monitoring tools (e.g., Elliptic, Ciphertrace) and automated transaction monitoring tools used by fintechs (e.g., Unit 21)
  • Self-starter with the ability to perform well under pressure, eager to learn and develop new skills, comfortable working with technical tools
  • Team player with a good sense of humor
  • Experienced with Google Sheets; ability to digest and analyze data and create visual reports on short notice
  • Solid research, communications, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • ACAMS certification
  • Able to work remotely
  • Located in the Southeastern region of U.S. (preferably Atlanta)
