Quick description

BlaBlaCar is on a mission to change the bus market in Russia by transferring it online; currently, 95% of bus ticket sales happen offline.

We are looking for an Accounts team manager who will lead the team of account associates and technologists to strengthen the business relations with BlaBlaCar bus partners and maximize the sales of online bus tickets on our platform. In addition to direct account management, a person in this role will work on projects across the whole company, mostly related to B2B Sourcing, Sales Support, and Business Development.  In this position, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to developing a new business of BlaBlaCar. We are looking for someone who has the grit and motivation to join our entrepreneurial adventure to digitize the market that currently operates offline.

What you will directly contribute to:

  • Lead the accounts team to expand current supply inventory on the platform; partner with Sales Team to get additional opportunities for supply inventory expansion;
  • Together with the team of Technologists and in close collaboration with tech support react to technical issues of the partners, suggest technical and process improvements to minimize the number of requests and complaints coming from partners;
  • Champion  relationship with partners (bus carriers, agents) in Russia and CIS, in order to capture their needs and maximize results of the partnership (do the upsell of new products and features);
  • Be the voice of the partner regarding their product needs; understand how they can grow their business with us;
  • Lead creation and improvement of processes, policies, procedures, and business strategies in regard to account management; introduce partner performance monitoring system;
  • Discover and convert business opportunities to support growth and development;
  • Lead the team to complete CRM adoption (Salesforce);
  • Performing data gathering, market research, competition analysis, and data analysis for strategic decision-making and stakeholders reporting;
  • Partnering with global teams (Marketing, operations, product, tech, data science, and finance) on major projects;

Key requirements:

  • 2+ years of people management experience as you will lead the team with the overall experience in digital space of 5 years and beyond
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Vast experience in b2b sales and account management, preferably with tough clients and/or on a developing market
  • Past experience of CRM system adoption is a plus
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry and from marketplace companies will be a significant advantage
  • Fluent English and Russian
