The Manager of Data Implementations coordinates critical data services for Built clients in order to ensure successful implementation and ongoing client success. This position combines client-facing and internal operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate is one that enjoys working with clients in order to assist them in navigating complex data landscapes, is analytical in nature allowing them to understand non-uniform data sets from various sources, can drive project success by creating deadlines and holding both internal and external parties accountable to performance, and can balance competing priorities to ensure ultimate success. The ideal candidate is a problem solver (as each client has unique needs), is excited to create processes and strategies to assist each client in their conversion to Built, is a great communicator, and most importantly takes ownership of their projects and drives them to success.

In this Role, You Will:

  • Serve as the primary point of client contact for all data services at all points in the customer lifecycle, from the sales process through implementation and ongoing account growth
  • Work with clients to obtain and validate data to be used in data services
  • Analyze client data and work with the engineering team to create a conversion plan
  • Ability to translate client business/reporting needs into data requirements/structures
  • Coordinate the scoping, prioritization, delivery, and, where applicable, ongoing maintenance of client data services (one-time data import, ongoing data connections)
  • Establish and ensure adherence to a clear process for service prioritization and delivery, and improve the process over time based on feedback
  • Work with data services engineers to ensure orderly delivery of client data services
  • Work with client and internal stakeholders to maintain a prioritized queue of data services deliverables
  • Contribute to resource development and internal training plans to ensure that Built’s integration services are always well represented in client communications
  • Collaborate with the Built Product team to identify and refine opportunities for product updates based on needs identified while working with clients
  • Primary external responsibilities will include implementation data coordination (beginning in the sales process), as well as data services and data connection development for existing customer base
  • Primary deliverable is a prioritized “clean” queue of engineering work to be delivered by the data services team
  • Delivery of data services during implementation--including delivery timeline vs. go-live date
  • Leading a strong data services program will create a higher percentage of lender portfolios on Built during implementation
  • Promote data integrity and data usage across the organization
  • Own the projection of CARR for all new clients based on analysis of existing portfolio
  • Lead development of KPIs/metrics for IMP, CS, and training
  • Create and maintain tools and dashboards for monitoring the effectiveness of the above programs
  • Using data, provide recommendations for improving the operational effectiveness of the above teams
  • Train and mentor data project managers and data engineers (where applicable) – (Direct Leadership Role)


  • Experience managing projects
  • Experience working with large, non-uniform, data sets
  • Experience working directly with clients and prospects to assess needs and define technical solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel manipulation (advanced Excel skills are highly preferred)
  • While this is not an engineering role, familiarity with engineering tools and practices will be greatly beneficial
  • High-level prioritization and decision making
  • Attention to detail is key to ensuring projects are successful
  • The ability to create and adhere to project timelines and milestones is key as this role will create data project plans that are a part of a larger implementation project plan
  • Must be passionate about learning the nuances of construction lending customer data and how it maps to the Built platform
