Built Plus is a growing business unit within Built Technologies. As a member of this team, you will be on the cutting edge of developing new products and services for our expanding client base. This role is designed for a creative, problem-solver that relishes the opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation, has a passion for helping clients solve their business challenges, and is relentlessly focused on delighting our users.

This role is responsible for demonstrating to prospective and current customers how the Built Plus suite of products and service solutions will address their needs specifically within their construction lending business lines. In addition to partnering closely with Account Executives, Construction Lending Sales Engineers also interface with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing. The Sales Engineer is a highly visible technical and product expert in the pre-sales process and a primary driver for internal advancement of customer requirements

What you will do:

  • Serve as the Built Plus product contact for prospects throughout the sales process
  • Partner with Account Executives to demonstrate to prospects how Built can best address their use cases and technical requirements Specifically, to design solutions and share best practices throughout the sales process
  • Provide ongoing solutions consulting to existing Built customers to enable upsells
  • Work with our engineering and product teams to translate prospect feedback into meaningful product insights

What you will bring to the role:

  • Familiarity with the construction lending process, both in the pre-close/underwriting and the post-close portfolio management
  • Construction Loan Underwriting experience (formal credit training a plus)
  • Experience advising and supporting a sales organization with a client-centric and friendly approach to resolving deals
  • Expert knowledge of various construction finance products and understanding of the construction finance capital stack
  • Experience working with outside commercial and residential real estate developers
  • Ability to collaboratively work across sales and business functions
  • Self-directed with a passion for creatively solving problems while demonstrating initiative and flexibility
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
