What we are looking for

We are looking for a Back-End Software Engineer to work on our API and business services. Please read below for a full description of the available position.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years work experience with back-end applications
  • Solid understanding of Javascript
  • Familiarity with Node.js
  • Good knowledge of web architecture (URIs, HTTP, Caching, etc)
  • Proficiency in Git version control
  • Familiarity with UNIX terminal
  • Excellent knowledge of English language (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Experience working with SQL
  • Experience working with Knowledge Graphs and graph databases, such as Neo4J
  • Experience working with Full-Text search databases, such as ElasticSearch
  • Good understanding of GraphQL
  • Experience working with Docker
  • Experience working with AWS or Google Cloud

The salary we offer is based on skills, professional experience and team fit. The applicant will be required to prove their qualifications via interview and written assignment.

Recruitment process

  • The recruitment process at Causaly is as follows.
  • Evaluate applicant’s CV
  • Initial call with applicant to assess team fit and dev experience (~1 hour)
  • Technical assessment (4-6 hours commitment over 1 week time-span, depending on the applicant’s expertise)
  • Review call to discuss feedback from the assignment (~1 hour)
  • Meet the founders (~1 hour)
  • Receive offer letter, outlining goals and expectations for the next 6 months
  • Legalities and contract
