About the role Underwriting Management at Coalition involves leading and guiding a team to help clients solve cyber risk challenges effectively. We seek an experienced cyber and technology E&O underwriting manager to lead a remote team and utilize Coalition's best practices and unique capabilities to profitably expand our business. Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of underwriters, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional growth.
  • Oversee the analytical research of policyholders and risks conducted by the team.
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with insurance brokers, negotiating pricing, coverages, and other terms to grow our book profitably.
  • Attend in-person meetings with Business Development staff and brokers as necessary to facilitate team support.
  • Develop, implement, and streamline processes for renewal business to achieve our customer service standards.
  • Strategically contribute to policymaking on emerging threats, loss trends, marketplace changes, and other trends in cyber and technology risks.
  • Maintain an active understanding of cyber and technology marketplaces and industry trends, imparting knowledge to the team.
  • Identify and leverage areas where our unique capabilities provide a competitive advantage and support these through the development of processes.
  • Collaborate with Security Engineers and guide the team in reviewing cyber and tech E&O accounts for risk assessment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and managerial point of contact for coverage matters and endorsement drafting.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in underwriting cyber and technology E&O.
  • Proven track record in leading high-performance underwriting teams.
  • Experience handling a high volume of business.
  • Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, virtual environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Ability to learn and teach technical concepts/terms.
  • Proficiency in the local language and English is required.
Bonus Points
  • Existing relationships with potential broker partners.
  • Management Professional Liability experience.
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS is a plus.
Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The US base salary for this position ranges from $40,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $50,000/year in our highest geographic market. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location. Your recruiter can share more on target salary for your location during the interview process. Coalition, Inc. reserves the right to modify this range as needed.
