About the role

As Creative Director (Design), you’ll manage and work alongside a growing team of designers, animators and videographers, and be responsible for the creation and execution of creative across all of Coalition’s marketing communications.

The right candidate is ambitious and willing to take risks that push the brand and how Coalition communicates forward. This is an opportunity to join a hyper growth company and leverage design to further accelerate that growth. The ideal candidate is comfortable straddling the worlds of art direction and design execution with a background in fast past environments whether agencies or start ups.

This role will work closely with the Head of Brand to ensure Coalition is consistent, compelling and differentiated in all of our communications. This person must thrive on projects big and small, whether multi-media campaigns or sales asset creation.


  • 8+ years of design experience and a solid understanding of design principles and key tools
  • Experience in reimagining and then implementing a brand including visual identity and design systems
  • Experience leading a team throughout the lifecycle of a project from concepting to scoping to production and delivery execution/design
  • A proven track record of building teams that are able to balance high velocity quick-turn projects alongside slower burn projects
  • Experience onboarding and collaborating with external creative resources whether freelancers or agencies
  • Passion for mentoring and working alongside creative professionals ranging motion graphics, writers, data visualization, animation, video, and photography
  • Organizational skills to manage projects in conjunction with the project manager, work under pressure on tight deadlines, be mindful of project scopes and budget

Priority Skills

  • Highly proficient in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign (Bonus points if you know Sketch or After Effects)
  • Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills, with experience selling through your vision and ideas
  • A portfolio demonstrating a high caliber of work
  • Strong attention to detail
