About the Role

We are expanding our Finance team and seeking a hands-on Tax Compliance Manager, as we look to prepare the company for public readiness. This new role will take the lead for domestic and foreign income tax returns, state and local income tax returns, sales & use tax returns, various tax research projects, credits & incentives application and SOX documentation, R&D tax credit, and direct & indirect tax audits. You will report to the Controller. In this role, you will be expected to be a key contributor as we prepare the Company for public readiness. This position can sit in any Coalition office in the US or be full-time remote within the continental US.


  • Manage global tax calendar to ensure timely filings and payments
  • Manage/review the company’s global tax provision and related disclosures, (including compiling information for tax provision, review of quarterly and annual income tax provision workpapers, journal entries, and disclosures, documentation of uncertain tax positions, and analysis of tax accounts to ensure compliance and integrity of account balances/financial reporting).
  • Manage and support the external auditors’ review of the income tax provision
  • Review quarterly international tax provision packages, ensuring all transfer pricing related accounting entries recorded in compliance with the company’s TP policies
  • Review the company’s US and foreign corporate tax returns and supporting workpapers
  • Prepare federal and California R&D credit calculation and documentations
  • Prepare/review indirect tax returns (VAT, GST, business property tax and etc.)
  • Coordinate and manage federal, state and local tax audits and related matters
  • Conduct tax research on various US and International tax matters and assist with international tax structure implementation
  • Coordinate and review outsourced tax compliance for direct and indirect taxes globally
  • Manage indirect tax compliance, including source data and workpapers prepared internally or by third-party providers.
  • Review monthly indirect tax accruals and reconciliations for key accounts and ensure efficient closure of indirect tax audits and tax assessment notices.
  • Identify, develop, and direct the implementation of third party service providers, technology tools and process improvements to reduce low-value work and increase tax resource productivity/focus on more value-added work


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • 7+ years of tax experience working at a multinational corporation with complex multi-state taxes and industry
  • 6+ years of experience of tax provision/compliance related experience at public accounting firms and in SEC registered companies
  • Demonstrated passion and track record of delivering results in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • US CPA is preferred
  • Prior experience with NetSuite preferred
  • SaaS or Technology industry experience is a plus
