Joining Collibra’s Web Development team:

  • Collibra is looking for a Backend Web Developer who will be responsible for adjusting, building, and maintaining a variety of functional and cross-functional integrations across our website ecosystem.
  • This essential role will work closely with internal stakeholders and agencies to come up with exciting and innovative ways to improve our web platforms and automations.
  • The web development team prides itself on being able to collaborate effectively across many departments within the organization.

Backend Web Developers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Building and ensuring the stability of cross-functional integrations
  • Identifying, patching and documenting technical problems related to security, system architecture, and integrations
  • Maintaining thorough documentation and consolidation of scripts and integrations
  • Developing templates, plugins, functions and scripts using Wordpress and PHP
  • Designing and building components, templates, content fragments, and workflows using the AEM as a Cloud Service (Sling, CRX, OSGI, OAK, JAVA)

You Have:

  • 5+ years of professional backend Wordpress development experience in a corporate environment or agency
  • 5+ years of professional backend AEM development experience in a corporate environment or agency
  • Demonstrated ability using a version control system (e.g. Bitbucket, Github, Beanstalk, Mercurial, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, REST, Sling and SOAP in a production environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.

You Are:

  • Experienced developing in a LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MYSQL, PHP)
  • Comfortable with data exchange protocols like JSON and XML
  • Familiar with applying a variety of APIs such as Sling and SOAP
  • Knowledgeable of administrative hosting environments such as WHM, AWS
  • An autodidact and self starter; eager to learn and apply new technologies

Measuring Success:

Reporting to Collibra’s Web Development Manager, Backend Developer’s measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will familiarize yourself by documenting existing code, systems, and development workflows.
  • Within your third month, you be comfortable developing independently in local, staging, development and production website environments
  • Within your sixth month, you will be working autonomously collaborating, comparing and deploying major commits to contribute to the success of the team’s key initiatives in 2022
