We are looking for a Senior Manager, GTM Communications expert to join our team. We are seeking an experienced, customer-obsessed, communications manager to help effectively brief our leaders.  In this role, you will be responsible for driving strategic communications, content, and briefings for members across the Sales Leadership Team, including the development of strategic messaging for external presentations. You’ll work across business functions, regions and all levels of the organization to make sure our customers are a top-of-mind audience. This role requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work backwards from ambiguous requirements to generate clear, concise communications. This is a role that requires frequent engagement with Confluent leadership. In your career you must have demonstrated successful executive presence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to influence others. The right candidate is extremely thorough and thoughtful in their communications approach, data-driven, thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and has proven experience managing priorities and working effectively across a number of internal stakeholders.

Our team is typically in the middle of many projects at once. The ideal candidate will be able to be flexible, prioritize and re-prioritize and add value in many different ways. You will write emails, articles, create presentations, manage communications vehicles, host webinars, advise executives and generally provide support in all areas of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Write messaging and content for executive speaking and presentations
  • You are an experienced communications leader with a track record for bringing out the best in people.
  • Responsible for a comprehensive briefing experience for leadership. And work with the team to execute flawlessly.
  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to articulate a structured and clear point of view on complicated issues in clear, concise communications, with high level of attention to detail and time management.
  • Support a broad scope of projects across various, announcements, issues, events and moments - and ensure that the team is on task and executing
  • Help source and identify communications ideas and opportunities internally
  • Partner with communications and product teams to determine strategy for external engagement
  • Own any escalations by identifying key stakeholders and building consensus
  • Develop and maintain internal coordination materials to ensure smooth execution
  • Manage multiple processes, calendars, and workstreams on high-priority company topics

Your Experience:

  • 5-10 years working in sales communications, including executive communications experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-tech company
  • Established track record collaborating with and proactively supporting senior leaders on communications strategies and best practices; client service mindset and consultative approach is a must
  • High degree of flexibility, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills; ability to write for a broad spectrum of multimedia communications channels
  • Innovative mindset – always looking for ways to improve how we communicate with and engage audiences
  • Experience as a project or program manager
  • Experience building consensus and aligning cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in a deadline driven environment
