We are looking for a leader who will be responsible for our global accounting operations and building systems for a fast growing global startup. The ideal candidate will be strategic and hands-on in managing our Finance operations at headquarters, as well as leading a team in the US, UK and China. This person has extensive experience working for SaaS/HaaS companies and is excited to create a world-class Finance organization leveraging the latest automation innovations such as RPA and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition for our US headquarters
  • Manage a team of Accounting Managers in UK and China
  • Provide strategic leadership for accounting operations, developing accounting operations on a global scale and creating solutions to support a world-class close leveraging systems automation
  • Oversee all payroll activities and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and filings
  • Oversee the monthly closing process to assure the timely preparation of accurate financial information in accordance with US GAAP guidelines, meeting all deadlines necessary to support internal and external reporting deadlines
  • Review, interpret and develop diverse policies to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP
  • Manage the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and provide variance analysis and recommendations to leadership
  • Manage and comply with local, state, federal and international government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Manage relationship, direction and coordination with both internal audit and external auditors
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Help identify cost saving opportunities Drive to continuously improve the accounting and reporting process, identify and implement efficiency and automation across the accounting function
  • Work with business partners to improve accuracy and timeliness of inputs for key financial processes

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting
  • 15+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ at a public company
  • Experience in high growth SaaS/HaaS or technology companies
  • Public accounting/Big 4 Accounting experience preferable
  • CPA license preferable, strong in-depth knowledge of US GAAP, local regulations and working knowledge of accounting methods and workflows
  • Have an ownership mindset and a “can-do” attitude coupled with a strong work ethic
  • Resourceful in overcoming barriers and ensuring solutions, forward-thinker
  • Excited to be on the cutting edge of applications of GAAP and Finance advancements like RPA and AI
  • Experience working with Oracle Netsuite or other similar ERP systems
  • Demonstrates the highest level of ethics and integrity
  • High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, high-growth environment, and to lead and drive complex initiatives
  • Proven track record of leadership with a keen ability and desire to mentor staff on career development
