Datadog's Finance team partners with stakeholders across the organization, providing commercial, operational, and analytical support to ensure that Datadog’s business continues its rapid and efficient growth.
We are seeking an International Tax and Transfer Pricing Manager to join our expanding Tax team and help manage the increasing complexity of our international operations. In this newly created role, you will play a critical role in supporting the global corporate tax function, particularly in the areas of international tax and transfer pricing.
Your primary responsibilities will include managing tax compliance, accounting, research, and planning for direct taxes in non-US markets, as well as overseeing the international components of US taxation. You will also lead our global transfer pricing documentation efforts and help manage Datadog’s growing international tax obligations under the OECD’s Pillar 2 initiative.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transfer pricing and international tax concepts such as BEAT, GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credit utilization, and ASC 740. Expertise in modeling complex tax scenarios in Excel is essential, and proficiency with other tax technology tools is a plus.

What You’ll Do:
- Review foreign tax returns prepared by external advisory teams for accuracy.
- Assist with preparing the quarterly income tax provision for international entities.
- Oversee the preparation of annual transfer pricing documentation and benchmark studies for all Datadog entities, working closely with outside advisory firms.
- Support the full implementation of Pillar 2 requirements for international entities, including: (i) calculating safe harbor thresholds, (ii) monitoring changes in international tax legislation, and (iii) developing a GloBE calculation framework for tax accounting utilization on a quarterly basis.
- Review transfer pricing studies and address tax considerations associated with global expansion.
- Conduct research and tax treaty analysis to support compliance and planning activities.
- Assist in quarterly BEAT, FDII, and GILTI provision calculations, and review annual filing calculations.
- Assist with income tax and transfer pricing audits for international entities.
- Explore and assist with international R&D tax credit opportunities.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance tax-related workflows.
Who You Are:
- A licensed CPA with a Master’s Degree in Tax Accounting or similar certification in a related field.
- Experienced with at least 5 years of corporate and international tax, gained through a combination of tax advisory roles and/or in-house tax positions.
- Proficient in ASC 740 with a solid foundation in corporate tax compliance and reporting.
- A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, demanding environments.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, accounting, and documentation skills.
- Skilled at prioritizing, multitasking, and meeting deadlines.
- Collaborative and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
- Experienced with ERP systems, such as NetSuite (a plus).
