About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced all-round Senior Financial Administrator with expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

What you will do

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of cash receipts, refunds, and adjustments.
  • Manage and resolve customer billing disputes and discrepancies.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment status.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer success teams to address and resolve collection issues.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, identifying trends and potential issues.

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Oversee the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, and vendor management.
  • Ensure all invoices are coded correctly and approved in accordance with company policies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Follow up on any unmatched payments
  • Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions and ensure proper documentation.

General Financial Administration and Process Improvement:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of reports.
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Identify and discuss process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable/payables function.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new technologies to support accounts receivable/payables operations

What you bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable/payable or a related finance role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with billing systems (we have recently implemented Chargebee) and invoice processing (Basecone/Klippa) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Exact)
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial records and transactions.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
