DataSnipper, recognized as the fastest growing tech company in the Netherlands (according to Deloitte Fast50), is on an exciting growth trajectory and is looking for a Financial Controller with an ownership mindset to join our expanding Accounting & Control team in Amsterdam. In this pivotal role, you will own and enhance financial processes at DataSnipper, contributing to key initiatives that elevate our Accounting & Controlling operations as we scale.

The ideal candidate is eager to take on new topics for the first time with the flexible mindset required to operate successfully in a dynamic scale-up environment. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Accounting & Control.

What you will do

• Perform month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and report financial results.
• Manage the audit process for your scope of work.
• Contribute to variance analysis and analytical reviews during the month-end close.
• Identify and implement opportunities to optimize and automate financial processes, operating with scalability in mind.
• Contribute to the internal control framework (risk assessments and control implementation).
• Ensure tax and corporate compliance.
• Preparation of financial reporting for the multiple entities.
• Improve all financial processes and build an efficient and scalable finance function.
• Support or own various financial projects as needed.
• Collaborate with the administrator on the invoicing and bookkeeping processes.
• Collaborate with team leads to help them understand their financial figures and identify opportunities for cost efficiency.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in financial control, accounting or similar. CA/RA/CPA or similar is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with setting up efficient financial processes.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence change.
• Outstanding business acumen and commercial awareness.
• Proactive mindset, ability to self-start and driven to succeed. Ownership mindset with the ability to work effectively in a scale-up environment.
• A forward-thinking approach, ensuring implemented solutions are scalable for DataSnipper’s continued growth.
• Technical skills: Solid understanding of IFRS, GAAP. Advanced proficiency in financial reporting systems and ERP platforms. Experience with ERP-system implementations is a plus
• Growth Mindset: A proactive, forward-thinking approach with the ability to design and implement scalable processes that meet the evolving needs of the business.
