DataSnipper is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our new Data Services team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and lead our data infrastructure from the ground up, creating a self-serviceable Business Intelligence platform for internal stakeholders.

In this pivotal role, you will directly impact our business by enabling proactive customer success strategies, providing sales teams with data-driven insights, empowering product managers with actionable intelligence, and supporting organizational decision-making.

What you will do:

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines to process millions daily events from our products
  • Integrate data from multiple sources including HubSpot CRM and internal databases into a centralized data warehouse
  • Perform data transformations and cleanup in Snowflake using tools like DBT to create a normalized, high-quality data model
  • Develop ETL processes using Azure and Snowflake technologies
  • Create a robust data model that aligns terminology across different departments
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer success, product) to understand their data needs and deliver insights through the vizualization tool
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Optimize data structures and queries for performance and cost-efficiency
  • Support the development of customer-facing dashboards using Snowflake as the data source

What you bring:

  • Strong experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining data pipelines and warehouses
  • Proficient in Azure cloud services, including data ingestion, processing, and storage
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse and DBT for data transformations
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts
  • Expertise in Azure cloud platform
  • Experience with API integrations and event-driven architectures
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Would be a plus:

  • Experience with .NET or willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures and stream processing
  • Experience with change data capture (CDC) methodologies
