Meet the team behind this journey

We’re looking for a hands-on, data-driven Talent Acquisition Partner based in APAC, who will lead our hiring efforts in the region while driving global talent projects alongside our partners in EMEA and North America. You’ll dig into metrics and market insights to shape smarter sourcing strategies, collaborate closely with hiring managers and fellow TA specialists worldwide, and ensure every candidate enjoys a seamless, top-tier experience from first outreach to offer acceptance.

On the APAC front, you’ll own our Japan GTM hiring—finding and engaging standout sales and marketing professionals who can fuel both new business and expansion. Backed by the investors behind Uber, Twitter, Instagram, and Zendesk, your work will help build the diverse, high-impact teams that power DeepL’s mission—across borders and time zones.

Your responsibilities

  • Be a Strategic Talent Partner in Japan: Work closely with the Japan Country Head and GTM leaders—both locally and globally—to shape hiring strategies that support business growth.
  • Collaborate Across Borders: Partner with a global recruiting team to align on priorities, share best practices, and contribute to international talent initiatives.
  • Lead with Data & Insight: Use data to drive decisions, track pipeline health, and influence stakeholders—ensuring your hiring plans are grounded in real-time insights.
  • Design Scalable Sourcing Strategies: Build creative, effective sourcing plans to attract top-tier talent across high-volume and complex GTM roles.
  • Recruit Across Key GTM Functions: Own end-to-end hiring for Sales, Presales, Customer Success, and other Go-To-Market teams.
  • Deliver a Strong Candidate Experience: Run a streamlined, thoughtful process—from first contact to offer—that reflects our values and makes a lasting impression.
  • Grow Our Employer Brand Locally: Help boost our presence in Japan through events, marketing, and local engagement efforts focused on talent attraction.
  • Use Modern Tools to Drive Success: Work with platforms like HiBob, Confluence, and Jira to manage workflows and collaborate effectively. (Training available if you're new to any of them.)

Qualities we look for

  • 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in-house at a high-growth tech company.
  • Deep experience hiring across GTM roles, especially in Sales and Marketing.
  • Strategic mindset with a strong grasp of data-driven recruiting practices.
  • A collaborative style and proven ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and global teams.
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese.
