We’re looking for a Social Media Executive in the UK to help drive the day-to-day execution and operations of Deliveroo’s social channels. Someone who understands social, culture and has their finger on the pulse of what’s trending right now. You’ll be responsible for managing our online communities alongside the Social Content Executive and building brand love with our fans. Speaking as Deliveroo and building connections with people, creating content that people genuinely want to consume.

This role will sit within the Brand Social and Digital Creative team, working closely with the Social Content Executive, agencies, and internal teams to develop social media content that builds brand awareness, consideration and engagement for Deliveroo with support from the Social Media Manager and Head of Social Media. Ideal for someone highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple stakeholders, timelines and outputs across a fast-paced social environment.

The role is hybrid, based in the London HQ office 3 days a week and will report to the Social media Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Social Media Manager and Content Executive to develop creative content strategies to reach and engage our target audience across multiple social channels

  • Own the day-to-day scheduling and publishing of content across UKI social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube)

  • Be our brand voice. Writing captions, comments and responses in our tone of voice

  • Be a creative partner to the Content Executive to find always-on content opportunities

  • Manage the social content calendar, ensuring all activity (internally and through agencies) is planned, aligned and delivered on time

  • Work with content executive and agencies to ensure content is delivered and briefed on time

  • Support campaign delivery across brand social

  • Ensure best practice across platforms when publishing

  • Own UKI social reporting

  • Be our trend radar. Let us know what’s happening right now and how we should capitalise on it

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of experience working in Social Media roles.

  • Strong understanding of all the main social media channels

  • A creative eye and an understanding of what will or won’t work on channels, and particularly on behalf of a brand, are essential

  • An understanding of social media metrics and what they mean, and knowing how to use those results to improve future content - familiarity with monitoring tools

  • Experience of developing brand visibility across social media channels

  • Proven track record of success in growing followers and engagement on social media platforms

  • Collaborating with the Social Content Executive to oversee day-to-day community management across all channels, including comments, DMs and mentions. Finding opportunities to create content in response and drive brand-led conversations and engagement (not customer service handling)

  • Outstanding organisational ability and project management skills

  • High attention to detail, particularly in copy, publishing and approvals

  • Flawless written English

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • A self-starter who is comfortable with constant change

  • Enthusiastic and collaborative team player
