People & Spaces at Duffel

Our People & Spaces team is made up of five members with four open positions (People Partner; Recruiter; Tech Sourcer and Technical Recruiter). We look after the full employee journey from taking care of our home in Broadgate Circle, attracting talent and supporting them in their growth journey in the years to come.

We’re looking for our first People Partner to join us, and you’ll be working closely with Lyn (Head of People) and Selina (People Operations). Your main mission is to support managers and your colleagues throughout all parts of the employee lifecycle and people management, in the pursuit of providing the best Duffel employee experience while putting one of our values, ‘People Come First’ at every step of the way.

  • What we’re looking for in you
  • You’re already a People Partner who loves working with Product and Tech. You’ve done it before, but excited to apply your learnings and build things from scratch.
  • You’ll have a great team to support you, but you also need to be comfortable working independently and have a level of comfort setting your own goals.
  • You’re excited by the ownership that comes with being the first People Partner in a growing team.
  • You’re reasonably comfortable with the ambiguity that can come with start-ups. Having that practical’ hands on’ approach and being happy to roll up your sleeves are necessary.
  • You have experience in successfully creating and driving effective learning initiatives and development programs.
  • You love building meaningful relationships with employees at all levels of the business and have a high emotional intelligence with an understanding of the complexities and sensitivities of employee relations.
  • You have good knowledge and practical experience in applying employment law in the UK. *(bonus if you have experience in US employment law)
