What you'll do

Work with other team members inside the engineering team as well as stakeholders (PO, UX, UI and so on) outside engineering team to develop innovative solutions that meet Chinese market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability while meeting realistic implementation schedules and adhering to development goals and principles.

  • Build up a Farfetch China Android App to grow up our Chinese market by using modern Android development technology.
  • Take part in the entire software development process by Agile methodology, provide input related to the technical design of new applications, systems and architecture.
  • Proactively participate in maintaining team standards and best practices.

Who you are

  • Programming experience in Java or Kotlin and related frameworks.
  • Experience of building Android applications using Android SDK and open source libraries.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented software development.
  • Understanding of large and complex code bases, including API design techniques to help keep them clean and maintainable.
  • Knowledge of multi-threading and memory management specific to mobile devices and caching mechanisms.
  • Experience shipping one or more Android apps, ideally currently available in the Android Store.
