The role

An exciting opportunity has come up in our Infrastructure Data team! We are looking for talented Engineers based in PT, CH, IN, UK or BR - people with a healthy obsession about automation, scalability and infrastructure services. We use our own tools, built on top of state of the art technology, to setup and manage an infrastructure of thousands of cloud servers that support our production/live services and our teams of software engineers.

What you'll do

  • Develop automation and tools with a DevOps mindset on one or more strategic initiatives in the Infrastructure engineering team e.g. Cloud Orchestration, Infrastructure Automation.
  • Follow good practices about scale, performance, geo-distribution, multi-cloud, code maintenance, documentation etc. Keep Evolving, Keep Improving.
  • Fully own what you build by supporting the colleagues on using and extending the automation and tools so that they can deliver faster, better, harder, stronger! You did it you own it!
  • Database administration (Backups, performance, installation, configurations, security among others).

Who you are

  • Graduated or higher in Computer Science or another technical discipline, or related practical experience
  • Database Engineer passionate about building tools and automation for your fellows’ engineers
  • An excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experienced in OS/Core Systems

  • Experienced in one or more of the following: Python, Go, Java or C
  • Experienced in one or more of the following Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCE, Azure
  • Ideally you have experience Configuration Management tools: SaltStack
  • Experienced in one or more of the following BigData Systems: Hadoop, Spark, EMR, YARN, Bigquery, Snowflake, Databricks, etc
  • Experienced in building machine learning and artificial intelligence platform
  • Ideally you have experience in containers and orchestration with Kubernetes and servicemesh
  • Not afraid of challenges. There are no “problems”, only a better challenge
  • Proactive, you like to help others, “Team Player” is your Middle Name
  • You don’t want to learn, you need to learn
