Finance

We’re a global team with a presence in all of our locations around the world. Our biggest teams are based in the UK and Portugal. Our team in Porto focuses on financial reporting and operations, while the Group Finance team in London is made up of Corporate Development, Tax, Treasury and Commercial Finance. All of our teams play an instrumental role within the business, from developing best practice, delivering strategic projects and helping us to tell our story with data.

The role

Reporting to the Senior Indirect Tax Manager, you will work with our Operations and Logistics teams to ensure daily queries are supported and logistics-driven project are accompanied and indirect tax impacts are identified.

What you’ll do

  • Support Operations and Logistics teams on operational daily customs matters, in permanent liaison with remain Tax Group and aligned with general tax strategy;
  • Support any projects with customs and supply chain impacts, and ensure compliance from an indirect tax perspective, with group tax strategy;
  • Lead daily activities of customs workstreams and/or projects;
  • Document work instructions and help create procedure manuals for procedural customs compliance;
  • Work with both internal stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers, and/or external consultants;
  • Collaborate in definition of new guidelines for customs related processes within the Group;
  • Monitor for possible customs issues and opportunities that are relevant for Farfetch, and maintain knowledge of customs legislation and procedures; and,
  • Aid in the development of team members.

Who you are

  • Degreed in Economics, Management, Accounting, Law or similar subject;
  • Experienced in Customs and Supply Chain affairs with 4+ years of experience;
  • Commerce experienced and/or international retail practice;
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken);
  • Excellent team working player with an ability to work with different departments;
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office (Excel) and technology friendly.
