Portugal

Our Portugal offices are located in four of the country’s most vibrant cities - Braga, Guimarães, Lisbon and Porto, known for their rich historical background and warm atmosphere. The teams working in Portugal cover all areas of FARFETCH, from Digital Production to Operations, People and Technology. In our Guimarães and Porto offices you can experience the latest fashion trends in our European Production sites, and in our Braga, Porto and Lisbon offices you can immerse yourself in the tech world!

The role

We’re looking for a Head of Product to lead our Product Consideration area, reporting to the Director of Product - Consideration & Purchase. The Product Consideration subdomain’s mission is to make SELECTING desired items much easier. Arm the customer with relevant product information and provide a contextually appropriate and luxurious presentation of the product to allow decision-making.

What you’ll do

  • Contribute to Consumer Products Annual Strategy, Vision, and Goals and create Strategy for Domain, including both customer and commercial goals and vision.
  • Champion for leading product development that creates maximum value for our customers, ensuring adoption of our customer centered way of working, balancing user and business needs.
  • Create a balanced approach and prioritisation of ideation, development and delivery across the domain. Leading projects with high levels of uncertainty, from discovery to successful definition, adoption and delivery or investment decision-making.
  • Develop and validate defensible and meaningful business cases which address the needs and opportunities, empowering the team to steer data-driven decisions based on multiple and complex interdependent factors. Design and evaluate experiments, based on solid hypotheses, evolving priorities based on evidence and insights.
  • Support team organisation and development through communication plans, development plans and mentoring.
  • Lead recruitment processes by creating high-quality job descriptions for new/open roles, set interview questions for open roles and ensure teams adopt onboarding practices.
  • Support CP team building and culture - lead by example across the CP team for values and skills. Ensure information is shared and cascaded across all team members.

Who you are

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management; in particular experience in Consumer Products & e-commerce.
  • Experienced in managing a team of Product Managers, including other people managers (Group, Lead, Senior and Mid-level Product Managers).
  • Experienced in managing product portfolios as a combination of many products that involve multiple partners and product squads.
  • Familiar working in with a diverse squad of technical experts such as Designers, Researchers, Analysts, Data Scientists and Engineers.
  • A smart professional who does not hesitate to get hands-on to unblock your teams and provide quality solutions quickly.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal/presentation. You have experience communicating at multiple levels of an organisation.
