Creative operations

We’re a creative family, building copy, data and visual assets for each corner of the FARFETCH Ecommerce Platform. We are dedicated to providing gold standard imagery, content and production services for our partners and creating an engaging on-site experience for our customers.

Guimarães

Our Guimarães office is located in this beautiful and historic city, often described as the ‘birthplace of Portugal’. This is where our European Production team is based, in a custom-built office and studio facility which has a games room, music area and unbeatable chill out zone with a hammock that fits up to 20 people!

The role

Reporting to the Head of Digital Production, you will develop continuous improvement strategies across our organization, aligned with our mission and goals. You will work with staff and conduct the training of all employees at all levels, operators, leads, supervisors and managers.

What you’ll do

  • Improve to promote safety, quality and efficiency including training, process improvements and establishing standard work;
  • Help develop Continuous Improvement methodology: process map, standard work, value stream mapping, FMEA, VSM, etc;
  • Lead and coach associates at all levels on CI methodology;
  • Map out training plans, design and develop training programs both internal and external;
  • Choose appropriate training methods per case, class room and on the job training;
  • Design and prepare education aids and materials;
  • Support and communicate Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives around the facilities;
  • Be the Plant champion for Continuous Improvement;
  • Assist department managers with the internal audit process, identification of gaps, and corrective action planning;
  • Help identify the cause of repeat audit findings and implement sustainable solutions;
  • Identify barriers to Plant success and solicit help from leadership when needed;
  • Develop timelines and action plans for cost reduction activities.

Who you are

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology;
  • Hands-on experienced, using Operational excellence and Continuous Improvement methods (LEAN, KAIZEN, 6 Sigma);
  • Have excellent verbal and written Portuguese and English;
  • A professional with technical knowledge to analyze and interpret different situations based on experience and understanding;
  • Motivated to work in an energetic environment;
  • Have record of managing diverse projects and time constraints;
  • A professional with passion for fashion industry;
  • Have advanced knowledge on Microsoft Office Tools;
  • Advanced knowledge on Lean, Kaizen, 6 Sigma Methodology.
