We’re looking for a Design Program Manager (DPM) to lead the day-to-day operations of a fast-growing design team. You’ll help us build a stronger team by optimizing processes, establishing best practices and multiplying the impact of design throughout Fast. As a DPM you’ll own strategic initiatives to improve the designer experience at the company and will have a big role helping drive our team’s culture and impact at scale. Most importantly, you’ll be an enabler — the person who directly supports our team to produce world-class work. Every. Single. Day. Role

  • Identify the design team’s needs for processes, tooling, workflows, and methodologies and ensure these are covered (and optimized) for a better and more efficient work experience.
  • Strategize and plan for how we collaborate and communicate as a team internally and externally.
  • Work closely with Fast’s Design Leadership to improve and measure the onboarding experience of new team members to make sure they feel supported and have everything they need to succeed from day 1.
  • Continuously manage and evaluate our tooling needs and stack, be it to enable more efficient workflows or to ensure we’re communicating and collaborating effectively across design and cross-functional partners, especially given Fast’s remote-first culture.
  • Drive initiatives that help us evolve as a team while keeping a pulse on morale. You’ll be a driving force to a strong, kind and inclusive team culture.
  • Identify and assess opportunities to improve collaboration between design, product and engineering.
  • Support and elevate design both as a craft and discipline, setting the bar for what high-quality design work means.
  • Plan, participate and facilitate strategic meetings, activities and workshops (e.g., design reviews, design discussions, design sprints).

Requirements

  • Demonstrated delivery of projects and programs that resulted in meaningful impact to products, teams and/or business.
  • Passion for operational excellence and detail-oriented personality with borderline obsessive organizational abilities.
  • Passion for high-quality design and processes.
  • Proficiency in program management, design tooling and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interact and work with stakeholders from different teams and at all levels.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to quickly adapt to changes.
  • Deep experience working with design and product teams and a good sense of what it takes to build and scale high-performing teams.
  • Team culture nurturer, enabler and enthusiast.
  • Good judgment, curiosity and self-direction.
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach to working with others.
