We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering that will lead talented software teams to build and ship Trust & Identity products in the suite of our Fast checkout experience to buyers and sellers across the world. In this role, you will set the technical vision and direction in partnership with engineering management for the team’s roadmap while closely interacting with cross functional roles in product management and design. Role

  • Lead and grow teams of talented engineers through direct mentorship, vision setting and advocacy and support for the overall technical organization
  • Continuously raise the bar by hiring exceptional talent for the team
  • Spend a significant amount of time partnering with recruiting to scale the engineering organization
  • Work with the Head of Engineering on org design to insure engineers are working on the right projects at the right time
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives that benefit the engineering organization, such as Job Family Architectures, Organizational Learning events and opportunities and Personal Development Plans
  • Manage and proactively communicate with stakeholders on project progress throughout the entirety of the feature  lifecycle
  • Participate in org-wide initiatives to build an inclusive, healthy, and collaborative engineering culture at Fast

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a DoE or Senior Engineering Manager, leading multiple teams at tech companies at scale
  • CS degree or equivalent experience

Plus

  • Experience in e-commerce industry
  • Previous mature startup experience
