We’re looking for leaders across our engineering org who are excited about the challenges that come with rapid growth, and passionate about connecting people together through a positive and inclusive culture. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll work closely with your team, designers, PMs, and other engineering leaders to build and ship products and features that support our vision of helping teams and users collaborate.

We’re currently hiring engineering leaders for the following areas:

Editor Usability:

Editor Usability is a team that works on making our Design Editor easier, more efficient, and more powerful. The Design Editor is at the center of the designer experience at Figma - it’s a primary creation tool for many of our Figma users. Usability requires supporting people who are just learning how to use Figma, all the way through making it faster and smoother for the designers who know the ins and outs of how we work. Our projects include making our tools work for new groups of people, such as driving Accessibility work at Figma and supporting international users; we also work on projects that improve power and speed of designing

Editor Experience:

The Editor Experience team builds and maintains the core editing tools of our Design Editor. Our goal is to deliver a robust and powerful feature set, while keeping the product simple and intuitive. Some focus areas include building advanced typography features, or creating a powerful but intuitive autolayout engine, or continuing to improve the vector drawing experience.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Manage, support and grow a diverse team of engineers who design and build scalable products and features across Figma’s design tool and FigJam.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to set strategy, priorities, and mission for teams and projects.
  • Work closely with Product, Research, Design, Data and other engineering teams to define and build a best-in-class collaboration experiences.
  • Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other leaders in the organization.
  • Grow your career in an engaged and creative engineering community.

  • Proven track record of building and shipping high-quality products

  • Experience scaling products and teams in high growth environments
