As a Senior Payroll Specialist on the Accounting Team, you’ll be an integral part of Figma’s payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in processing US payroll, preparing journal entries, and leading projects. This role will collaborate closely with the Benefits, HRIS, People Ops, and Accounting teams to ensure seamless coordination across various functions. This person will report directly to the Senior Payroll Manager.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
- Maintain, review and validate data for US payroll using Workday Payroll
- Review timesheets, attendance records and leave of absence pay
- Audit payroll tax records
- Process payments for final paychecks, adjustments and special pay
- Create journal entries related to payroll transactions
- Collaborate with the accounting and finance teams to provide commentary on flux and trends
- Participate in audits for 401k, Workers Compensation, and general audit
- File quarterly taxes and issue W-2s
- Create and maintain process documentation
- Provide standard and ad-hoc payroll reports to various internal departments such as Finance, Accounting, Tax and Equity
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 5+ years of full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing experience
- Strong knowledge of Workday Payroll and ADP SmartCompliance
- Experience creating journal entries
- Experience recording equity transactions including RSUs, ISOs, NSOs, and ESPP
- Demonstrated understanding of US payroll compliance and taxes
- Experience building relationships and communicating with stakeholders across all levels and functions
- Commitment to customer service
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Experience managing small to medium sized projects including implementations
- Experience using Netsuite
- Experience at a high growth B2B SaaS company
- CPP certification
Pay Transparency Disclosure
If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below.
Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range. Annual Base Salary Range (SF/NY Hub): $112,000—$196,000 USDAt Figma we celebrate and support our differences.
