As an Accounting Manager, you will report to the Accounting Lead and be responsible for supporting global payroll, monthly close and global consolidation, accounts payable and employee expenses. This position will be extremely hands-on and take a proactive role in supporting the development of appropriate policies and accounting processes needed to scale a rapidly growing organization and will be responsible for execution and review of core accounting functions.

What you’ll do

  • Own a significant portion of the general ledger accounting and monthly close processes
  • Perform reconciliations for complex allocations and intercompany accounting for our various subsidiaries as well as timely variance analysis
  • Administer bi-weekly and monthly global payroll, including data entry of changes, payroll processing, and system maintenance for 200+ hourly and salary employees
  • Perform payroll related functions including processing tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposit
  • Assist with the development and implementation of payroll practices, policies, and procedures
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including multi currency complex cash flow statements
  • Manage international statutory audits and financial statements, including working directly with international auditors
  • Hire, train and retain an amazing accounting staff that scales with the Company’s growth
  • Leverage Netsuite to build scalable/sustainable processes related to specific areas of responsibility
  • Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility
  • Work collaboratively across teams, providing actionable insights to help drive optimal business decisions
  • Perform special projects or other duties as requested

About you

  • Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment and able to create structure and foundational accounting processes
  • Experience managing payroll processes globally
  • Experience with managing the accounting for international entities, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations, multi-currency consolidations and entity compliance issues
  • Strong accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to both technical and non-technical partners
  • A plus, but not required: Netsuite experience, familiarity with ADP, CPA
